NRDC (National Research and Development Centre) was founded, as a Charitable Public Trust, with the express objective for research and development, knowledge generation and dissemination on resource management, education, technology, environmental conservation, social justice, women empowerment, human rights protection and other issues in India. NRDC treats such issues as extremely vital for the welfare of people of the country as well as for raising the country's competitive position and socio-cultural and environmental image in global system. It is my solemn hope that the NRDC scales up its level of activities and continues to serve the country for decades to come. I as well hope that it continues to pursue its mission with improved vitality to realize the noble vision that it has set before itself.
